The SKF 23144 CCK/W33 self-aligning roller bearing, with a 220 mm bore and tapered seat, offers high load-carrying capacity for demanding industrial applications.
The SKF 23144 CCK/W33 self-aligning roller bearing is a double-row roller bearing designed for heavy radial and axial loads in industrial plant. With an outer diameter of 370 mm and a width of 120 mm, this open bearing is suitable for applications where misalignment or shaft deflection needs to be compensated for. The design, made from standard 100Cr6 bearing steel with a robust sheet steel cage, is rated for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +200 degrees. Design engineers and maintenance personnel appreciate the combination of standardised dimensions and high operational reliability.
This bearing accommodates high radial forces as well as simultaneously acting axial forces in both directions. The self-aligning roller design automatically compensates for angular misalignment between the shaft and housing without causing an impermissible increase in friction. The open bearing design allows for targeted lubrication whilst the bearing is in operation. Thanks to the integrated lubrication groove with lubrication holes in the outer ring, grease or oil reaches the loaded rolling elements directly, which supports continuous operation.
The suffix ‘K’ denotes a tapered bore with a taper ratio of 1:12. This design allows for mounting on tapered shaft seats or, using suitable mounting and withdrawal sleeves, on cylindrical shafts. During installation, the standard radial clearance can be precisely adjusted by sliding the bearing onto the shaft axially. This design also features the enhanced running accuracy P5 with standard dimensional accuracy PN, enabling the roller bearing to operate with low vibration at medium to high speeds.
This version is characterised by its main dimensions of 220 × 370 × 120 mm and its open design. The bearing features a tapered bore with a 1:12 ratio, a sheet steel cage and a lubrication groove with lubrication holes in the outer ring in accordance with the W33 specification. The design automatically compensates for shaft misalignment during operation.
The designation W33 refers to a circumferential lubrication groove and lubrication holes in the outer ring of the bearing. This design makes relubrication whilst the bearing is fitted considerably easier, as the lubricant is fed evenly and directly into the bearing interior between the two rows of rollers.
With a taper ratio of 1:12, the unit can be mounted either directly onto a tapered shaft journal or, using clamping or withdrawal sleeves, onto a cylindrical shaft. The bearing clearance is precisely adjusted by sliding the unit onto the shaft along its axial direction.
This bearing combines standard dimensional accuracy (PN) with the enhanced running accuracy of tolerance class P5. Whilst the mounting dimensions comply with standardised installation tolerances, the concentricity and axial run-out meet tighter limits to ensure low-vibration operation.
Manufactured from standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6 with a sheet steel cage, the spherical roller bearing is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +200 degrees. This thermal operating limit must be taken into account when selecting and replenishing the lubricant.
This roller bearing is designed with standard radial clearance. This standard clearance is suitable for normal installation and operating conditions with typical temperature differences between the inner and outer rings. When fitted onto a tapered seat, the radial clearance is reduced during axial pressing.
