The 2307 ETN9 double-row self-aligning ball bearing from SKF Rolling Bearings, with a 35 mm bore, compensates for misalignment caused by shaft deflection within a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
The SKF 2307 ETN9 double-row self-aligning ball bearing is designed to accommodate radial loads whilst allowing for shaft misalignment. Thanks to the spherical raceway in the outer ring, the two rows of balls can adjust their angular position. With key dimensions of a 35 mm bore, 80 mm outer diameter and 31 mm width, this open roller bearing made from standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6) provides stable support for dynamically loaded shaft systems in mechanical engineering.
This design is particularly useful where misalignment between bearing positions or elastic deflection of the shaft needs to be compensated for. As the ball elements compensate for angular misalignment directly via the spherical raceway, no harmful edge stresses are generated on the bearing rings. As an open bearing without seals, the component can be flexibly integrated into externally sealed bearing housings with oil or grease lubrication.
The suffix ETN9 denotes a polyamide cage with ball guides, characterised by its low weight and favourable running properties. This material dampens vibrations and supports low-friction operation of the two rows of balls. The permissible operating temperature range is from -30 to +120 degrees. With standard radial bearing clearance and a cylindrical bore, the standard inner ring is mounted directly onto the cylindrical shaft seat.
A double-row self-aligning ball bearing with a common hollow-spherical raceway in the outer ring, which automatically compensates for misalignment of the shaft. This version has a cylindrical bore of 35 mm, an outer diameter of 80 mm and a width of 31 mm with standard bearing clearance.
The bearing has an inside diameter of 35 mm, an outside diameter of 80 mm and a width of 31 mm. This double-row component is manufactured from conventional standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6) and is designed as an open version without seals.
The designation ETN9 indicates an optimised internal design and a polyamide cage. This plastic cage reduces the weight of the rotating components, dampens running noise and is designed to withstand continuous temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees.
The bearing has the standard radial clearance (CN), which is intended for standard fits and typical operating temperatures. This clearance class offers a balanced compromise between smooth running, swivelling freedom and low radial play in the bearing assembly.
The open design, which does not feature integrated sealing washers, allows for flexible lubricant selection, with oil or grease applied directly via the housing. If necessary, the lubricant can be easily replaced as part of regular maintenance intervals, and the bearing housing can be efficiently relubricated.
The self-aligning ball bearing is manufactured to the standard tolerance class P0 (normal tolerance, comparable to ABEC 1). This classification meets the criteria for dimensionally accurate manufacturing and is in line with standard requirements in general mechanical engineering.
