The SKF 6305-2RS1 deep groove ball bearing, with dimensions of 25x62x17 mm, provides a bearing unit sealed on both sides for a wide range of industrial applications.
This single-row deep groove ball bearing 6305-2RS1 primarily supports radial loads and accommodates shafts subjected to moderate axial forces in both directions. SKF manufactures the bearing from roller bearing steel (100Cr6) with standard radial clearance and a sheet steel cage. The double-sided lip seals keep the lubricant inside whilst repelling dust and moisture. The bearing is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -20 to +120 degrees and is suitable for a wide variety of mounting configurations.
This design is primarily used in rotating assemblies and bearing locations where dirt and moisture need to be kept away from the raceways. The double-sided seal arrangement protects the rolling elements from ingress of particles or moisture. At the same time, the sheet steel cage ensures uniform guidance of the balls during continuous rotational movement. Thanks to the cylindrical outer ring without a flange or groove, the bearing can be fitted directly into machined housing bores.
The suffix 2RS1 denotes contact seals fitted on both sides. The sealing lips rest against the inner ring and seal the interior of the bearing against external influences. In combination with the standard tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1 and normal radial bearing clearance, this SKF design forms a compact unit that can reduce the need for additional external sealing elements on the shaft.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 25 mm, an outer diameter of 62 mm and a width of 17 mm. These standardised key dimensions allow for direct installation in suitable housing seats and on corresponding shaft diameters.
The designation 2RS1 refers to contact seals fitted on both sides. They protect the bearing housing from the ingress of dust, dirt particles and moisture, and are suitable for environments with increased sealing requirements.
The permissible operating temperature range is from -20 to +120 degrees. This range covers typical operating conditions in industrial applications; however, extreme cold or heat outside this range requires special versions.
This model features standard radial bearing clearance. It is designed for standard operating conditions, where typical fits on the shaft and housing are used and normal operating temperatures prevail, without causing stress in the bearing.
The bearing rings and rolling elements are made from standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6. A dimensionally stable cage made from sheet steel ensures that the rolling elements are guided and spaced evenly.
The 6305-2RS1 deep-groove ball bearing is manufactured to tolerance class P0, which corresponds to class ABEC 1 or PN. This accuracy class is the established standard for general industrial applications with normal dimensional accuracy requirements.
