The FAG 6215-2RSR deep-groove ball bearing, with dimensions of 75 × 130 × 25 mm and contact seals on both sides, offers protection against dirt and moisture.
The single-row deep groove ball bearing 6215 -2RSR from FAG primarily accommodates radial loads and also supports axial forces in both directions. With an inner diameter of 75 mm, an outer diameter of 130 mm and a width of 25 mm, this rolling bearing is suitable for shaft mountings in mechanical engineering. The inner and outer rings, made from 100Cr6 rolling-bearing steel, together with the sheet steel cage, ensure smooth running during continuous industrial operation.
This radial ball bearing is used in bearing arrangements where 75 mm shafts are supported under combined radial and axial loads. The design is intended for applications that must accommodate moderate axial forces in addition to predominant radial forces. The cylindrical outer ring, which has no flange or groove, fits precisely into housing bores. Manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN, the rolling bearing meets the standard requirements of industrial drive technology.
The elastomer sealing lips, which make contact on both sides, protect the raceways from ingress of dirt particles and moisture. They retain the grease inside the rolling element row, thereby reducing the need for maintenance during operation. The permissible temperature range for use is from -20 to +100 degrees Celsius. This design features standard radial bearing clearance, tailored to common fit conditions and standard operating temperatures.
The dimensions are 75 mm internal diameter, 130 mm external diameter and 25 mm width. These standardised key dimensions allow for installation on suitable shafts and in matching cylindrical housing bores.
The designation 2RSR refers to sliding contact seals made of synthetic rubber, fitted on both sides. They seal the interior of the bearing against dirt and splash water and help to retain the lubricant within the rolling element chamber.
The bearing is designed for ambient temperatures between -20 and +100 degrees Celsius. This temperature range is primarily determined by the material of the elastic sealing lips and the lubricant, and covers typical industrial environments.
The bearing is manufactured with standard radial bearing clearance (standard clearance). This means that the internal clearance between the outer ring, inner ring and balls is designed for standard fits and uniform operating temperatures without extreme thermal expansion.
FAG fits this ball bearing with a robust sheet-steel cage. The cage maintains a precise spacing between the rolling elements, minimises internal friction and is characterised by high strength combined with low weight.
Both the raceways and the rolling elements are made from through-hardened standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6). This material offers very high hardness, wear resistance and dimensional stability under recurring dynamic loads.
