The SKF 6010-2RS1 deep groove ball bearing combines dimensions of 50x80x16 mm with ground seals on both sides and enhanced P6 running accuracy for demanding industrial applications.
The single-row deep-groove ball bearing 6010 -2RS1 is a versatile rolling bearing designed for radial loads as well as axial forces in both directions. SKF manufactures this model in the Explorer performance class from standard rolling bearing steel (100Cr6). Fitted with a sheet steel cage and standard radial clearance, this bearing is suitable for designs where defined fits and smooth running are required. The permissible temperature range is from –20 to +120 degrees Celsius.
The bearing is primarily used in applications where rotating shafts need to be protected against ingress of particles or moisture. Typical applications are found in general mechanical engineering for rotating shafts and axles operating at medium to high speeds. With a width of 16 mm and an outer diameter of 80 mm, the design is suitable for applications with limited axial space. At the same time, the geometry of the deep raceways reliably accommodates combined loads.
The suffix 2RS1 denotes contact seals fitted on both sides. This design protects the interior of the bearing from contamination and retains the factory-applied grease filling within the rolling element chamber. Tolerance class P6 (corresponding to ABEC 3) is characterised by tighter manufacturing tolerances for concentricity and dimensions compared with the standard tolerance. This promotes smooth, low-vibration operation with uniform rotational movement.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 50 mm, an outer diameter of 80 mm and a width of 16 mm. These dimensions comply with the standardised specifications for metric radial deep-groove ball bearings of this size.
The designation 2RS1 refers to contact seals fitted on both sides. The sealing lips make close contact with the inner ring shoulders, thereby protecting the interior of the bearing from dust and moisture and preventing lubricant loss.
Bearings in tolerance class P6 offer greater dimensional and concentricity accuracy than standard bearings in the normal class. This reduces variations in bearing clearance once the bearing is installed, which contributes to smoother running and lower noise levels during operation.
The bearing is designed for operating temperatures between -20 and +120 degrees Celsius. This operating range is based on the thermal resistance of the 100Cr6 rolling bearing steel, as well as the integrated sealing washers and the lubricant fill.
No, the bearing is sealed on both sides and is already filled with grease at the factory. There is no need to re-grease it or flush it out before fitting, as the sealing washers prevent the grease from escaping.
This deep-groove ball bearing has the standard radial clearance without any specific additional designation. This design is suited to standard shaft and housing fits, where there are no extreme differences in thermal expansion between the inner and outer rings.
