The FAG 4311 -B-TVH double-row deep groove ball bearing, with a bore of 55 mm and an outside diameter of 120 mm, can withstand high radial loads.
The 4311 -B-TVH deep groove ball bearing is a double-row rolling bearing made from standard rolling bearing steel (100Cr6) with a width of 43 mm. Thanks to the two rows of balls, the design can withstand higher radial forces than single-row versions with the same main dimensions. It is manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1) with standard radial clearance. The bearing is manufactured by FAG and features a cylindrical outer ring without a flange or groove, making it suitable for compact shaft mountings in mechanical engineering.
This bearing is suitable for applications in mechanical and plant engineering where high radial forces and axial forces on both sides must be accommodated within a limited axial installation space. As this is an open bearing without integrated seals, it is primarily used in enclosed, oil- or grease-lubricated housings. An external housing seal protects the raceways from contamination and retains the lubricant within the system. The polyamide cage helps to ensure quiet operation.
The suffix ‘TVH’ denotes the integrated polyamide cage, which, thanks to its low weight, helps to guide the rolling elements. The component is designed for operation within a temperature range of –30 to +120 degrees Celsius. As the open design has no integrated seals, you should select the lubricant and external sealing to suit the relevant environmental conditions. During assembly, check that the 55 mm bore and the 120 mm outer diameter fit precisely.
The bearing has an inside diameter of 55 mm, an outside diameter of 120 mm and a total width of 43 mm. Both rings and the rolling elements are made from standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6. The outer ring has a cylindrical surface without a flange for direct mounting in suitable housing bores.
The suffix TVH indicates a polyamide cage. This material is characterised by its low weight and good damping properties. The cage guides the rolling elements evenly in both rows of balls and is designed for an operating temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees Celsius.
Double-row designs are used when a single-row bearing does not provide sufficient radial load-carrying capacity within the available installation space. The double row of balls distributes the load over a larger contact area. Furthermore, this design accommodates not only radial loads but also axial forces in both directions.
This roller bearing has a standard radial clearance. The internal bearing clearance is therefore within the standard range for typical fit combinations and operating temperatures. A standard clearance is suitable for common industrial applications where there are no extreme temperature differences between the inner and outer rings.
As an open-type bearing, this product has no integrated sealing washers and is not pre-filled with grease. You must apply a suitable grease to the component before commissioning, or incorporate it into an oil circulation system. External housing seals are required to retain the lubricant within the bearing chamber.
The permissible operating temperature of the bearing ranges from -30 to +120 degrees Celsius. This range is determined by the material properties of the polyamide cage and the standard rolling-bearing steel. When selecting a lubricant, ensure that its specification fully covers this temperature range.
