The 6313 single-row deep-groove ball bearing, measuring 65 × 140 × 33 mm, accommodates both radial and axial loads in industrial shaft mountings.
The 6313 deep groove ball bearing is an open, single-row rolling bearing made from standard bearing steel (100Cr6) in the SKF Explorer design. The bearing has a bore of 65 mm, an outside diameter of 140 mm and a width of 33 mm. Designed for a wide range of radial loads and moderate axial forces in both directions, a sturdy sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements evenly. With standard radial clearance and tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1), this component is suitable for a wide range of industrial shaft mountings.
The 6313 deep-groove ball bearing is primarily suitable for rotating shaft arrangements with a cylindrical bearing seat where combined loads occur. This design is recommended wherever high speeds and precise shaft guidance are required.
Thanks to the Explorer design, the bearing features optimised contact geometries on the raceways and balls. The permissible temperature range of –20 to +120 degrees enables its use in standard environments within general drive technology as well as in conventional mechanical engineering.
The open design, without sealing washers, allows direct access to lubricant via an existing oil or grease system within the housing. An external housing seal must be fitted to keep contaminants away from the raceways.
The version with standard radial bearing clearance is designed for typical fit conditions and moderate operating temperatures. The outer ring has no flange or groove, allowing the bearing to fit flush into cylindrical housing bores.
With an internal diameter of 65 mm, an external diameter of 140 mm and a width of 33 mm, the bearing complies with the standard series. The outer ring is cylindrical and flangeless. Designers use these mounting dimensions to check the bearing fit on the shaft and in the bearing housing.
SKF’s Explorer version is characterised by refined standard rolling bearing steel (100Cr6) and optimised internal surfaces. This manufacturing design reduces friction and wear on the rolling elements, which contributes to improved operational reliability in continuous industrial use.
Standard radial bearing clearance refers to the defined radial clearance between the outer ring, rolling elements and inner ring when the bearing is unloaded. It is designed for standard shaft and housing fits, where no significant thermal differences arise between the inner and outer rings during normal operation.
As bearing 6313 is of an open design and has no integrated seals, lubrication is provided by the surrounding housing. Depending on the design, oil baths, circulating lubrication systems or metered grease fillings are suitable. The surrounding bearing housing provides protection against dirt and moisture.
The specified temperature range for this roller bearing is between -20 and +120 degrees. Within this range, both the roller bearing steel and the sheet steel cage retain their dimensional stability. For the specific application, the thermal load capacity of the lubricant used must also be taken into account.
Manufacturing is carried out to the standard tolerance class P0/PN, which corresponds to class ABEC 1 in the international standard. This tolerance class defines the permissible dimensional and runout tolerances for standard applications and provides the necessary dimensional accuracy for machine bearings commonly available on the market.
