The SKF 6026 deep groove ball bearing, with a 130 mm bore and Explorer performance class, offers a robust solution for high radial forces in mechanical engineering.
The 6026 deep groove ball bearing is a single-row rolling bearing from SKF in the Explorer design. With a bore of 130 mm, an outer diameter of 200 mm and a width of 33 mm, the bearing primarily accommodates radial loads as well as axial forces in both directions. The open design without sealing washers allows for flexible use in oil- or grease-lubricated housings. Manufactured from 100Cr6 rolling-element bearing steel, the material has proven itself through its high dimensional stability in demanding continuous industrial use.
This rolling bearing is designed for applications involving high radial forces and axial loads in both directions on larger shaft diameters. The open design is particularly suitable where the surrounding housing already provides external sealing or where an active lubricating oil circuit is in place. The permissible temperature range is from –20 to +120 degrees. The Explorer geometry and the sheet steel cage ensure smooth running during continuous rotational movement and help to minimise friction during operation.
Classification in tolerance class P6 for dimensional accuracy means tighter manufacturing tolerances for the mounting dimensions compared with the standard tolerance PN. This ensures a precise fit on the shaft and within the housing. As no seals are integrated, the lubricant reaches the rolling elements unhindered. Care must be taken in the housing design to ensure protection against particles and moisture. The standard radial bearing clearance is designed for typical fit conditions and moderate operating temperatures.
The dimensions are 130 mm bore diameter, 200 mm outer diameter and 33 mm width. The outer ring is cylindrical in design and has neither a flange nor a ring groove.
The permissible operating temperature range is between -20 and +120 degrees. This range is made possible by the standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6 and the steel sheet cage, provided that the lubricant used is specified for these temperatures.
The open design, without cover plates or sealing discs, allows lubricating oil or grease to circulate freely directly around the rolling elements. This reduces rotational resistance and is suitable for assemblies that have an external housing seal.
P6 denotes a higher level of dimensional accuracy compared with the standard tolerance PN. This applies to dimensional deviations in bore, outside diameter and width. The running accuracy corresponds to the PN standard class, which ensures precise guidance for the majority of industrial applications.
A standard sheet steel cage is integrated into the bearing. This maintains a uniform spacing between the rolling elements, is resistant to common lubricants and contributes to the bearing’s thermal load capacity of up to +120 degrees.
This model has a standard radial bearing clearance. It provides the appropriate radial clearance for standard shaft and housing seats where there are no extreme temperature differences between the inner and outer rings.
