The FAG deep groove ball bearing 6014 -2RSR, measuring 70x110x20 mm, offers protection on both sides via sliding seals for demanding shaft mountings.
The single-row deep groove ball bearing 6014 -2RSR from FAG primarily accommodates radial loads and is designed for shafts with an internal diameter of 70 mm. The design, made from standard rolling-element bearing steel 100Cr6, features deep raceways without a flange or groove on the outer ring. Fitted with a sheet steel cage and standard radial clearance, this branded bearing is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications involving continuous rotational movement.
This rolling bearing is primarily used where rotating shafts need to be supported whilst simultaneously protecting the components from foreign particles. The range of applications includes bearing arrangements subject to predominantly radial loads as well as moderate axial forces in both directions. With an outer diameter of 110 mm, a width of 20 mm and manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN, the bearing operates reliably within a temperature range of -20 to +100 degrees.
The 2RSR design features a seal that rubs against both sides, sealing the interior of the bearing directly against the bearing rings. This design keeps out dust, moisture and solid contaminants, whilst retaining the factory-applied grease filling within the bearing. When designing the bearing, it should be noted that the friction between the contacting seal lips can affect heat build-up. The standard radial bearing clearance ensures a balanced operating clearance within the specified operating range.
The bearing has a bore of 70 mm, an outside diameter of 110 mm and a width of 20 mm. The outer ring is cylindrical and has neither a groove nor a flange.
The designation 2RSR refers to elastomer seals fitted on both sides that operate by sliding contact. The sealing lips make contact with the bearing rings and protect the rolling elements from dirt and moisture, whilst the lubricant remains inside.
The permissible temperature range is from -20 to +100 degrees. The contact seals and the lubricant filling limit this thermal operating range for normal operation.
The ball bearing is designed with a standard radial clearance. This clearance is suitable for standard mounting fits and standard temperatures, where there is no need to compensate for thermal expansion beyond normal levels.
The bearing rings and rolling elements are made from standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6). A robust sheet-steel cage, designed for standard speeds, ensures precise guidance of the balls.
Bearings with 2RSR seals on both sides are filled with grease at the factory. No additional relubrication is required prior to fitting, as the sliding seals reliably retain the lubricant within the bearing housing.
