The FAG NU314 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing (70x150x35 mm) is a single-row non-locating bearing with a polyamide cage designed to withstand high radial loads.
The FAG NU314 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing designed for demanding industrial applications. With a bore of 70 mm, an outside diameter of 150 mm and a width of 35 mm, this open roller bearing can handle high radial loads. As the inner ring has no flanges and can be removed from both sides, the assembly functions purely as a non-locating bearing. The design compensates for changes in shaft length caused by thermal effects directly within the bearing, without inducing stress.
Designs featuring separate fixed and floating bearings make targeted use of this bearing type on the floating side. The NU314 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is particularly suitable for bearing arrangements where high radial forces are present and axial shaft displacements must be compensated for unhindered. Typical applications include industrial drives and bearing arrangements with thermal length compensation. As this is an open design without seals, lubrication is supplied via the surrounding housing.
The polyamide cage (TVP2) guides the cylindrical rollers, ensuring low mass and smooth running. Together with the standard radial bearing clearance and tolerance class P0 (ABEC 1), the bearing is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from –30 to +120 degrees Celsius. The flangeless inner ring simplifies assembly: the inner and outer rings can be mounted separately onto the shaft and housing. When designing the assembly, ensure that axial forces are fully absorbed by a separate fixed bearing.
In the NU design, the outer ring guides the rollers between two fixed flanges, whilst the inner ring has no flanges. This allows the inner ring to be withdrawn from either side. The bearing acts purely as a non-locating bearing and compensates within the bearing itself for axial changes in the length of the shaft relative to the housing.
The bearing has an inside diameter of 70 mm, an outside diameter of 150 mm and a width across flats of 35 mm. These standardised dimensions enable a precise fit in housing bores and on shafts designed for cylindrical roller bearings of this size series.
The suffix TVP2 indicates a polyamide cage. This material is characterised by low friction, low weight and elastic properties. The polyamide cage ensures smooth roller operation and limits the permissible temperature range to between -30 and +120 degrees Celsius.
As an open bearing, the design is intended to be lubricated via an external housing or a central lubrication system. The absence of sealing washers reduces frictional resistance during operation. In this case, the surrounding housing structure must provide protection against dust and moisture.
The bearing is manufactured with standard radial clearance and to tolerance class P0, which corresponds to ABEC 1. This specification is suitable for conventional fit conditions in mechanical engineering. It is used where no exceptional temperature differences occur between the inner and outer rings during operation.
As the inner ring can be removed from both sides, the inner ring and outer ring, together with the roller set, can be fitted separately. You can fit the inner ring onto the shaft separately and insert the outer ring into the housing independently of this. When assembling the components, they must be slid together so that they are aligned and free from misalignment.
