The single-row cylindrical roller bearing NU305 -E-XL-TVP2, measuring 25x62x17 mm, serves as a support bearing to accommodate high radial forces whilst allowing free axial movement.
The NU305 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a compact radial roller bearing from FAG designed for demanding industrial applications. The design features a bore of 25 mm, an outside diameter of 62 mm and a width of 17 mm. Thanks to its cylindrical rollers, the roller bearing can accommodate considerable radial loads. Manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1 and with standard radial clearance, this design meets standardised requirements for use in mechanical and plant engineering.
The NU305 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is primarily suitable for bearing arrangements subject to purely radial loads, where longitudinal expansion of the shaft needs to be compensated for. Typical applications include rigid bearing arrangements and general industrial drives subject to high transverse forces. Thanks to the line contact between the rollers and raceways, the unit withstands load peaks and vibrations during operation.
As the inner ring has no flanges, the shaft can be moved axially in both directions relative to the housing. Designers make specific use of this property on the non-load-bearing side to accommodate thermal expansion without additional constraints.
The integrated polyamide cage guides the cylindrical rolling elements with low friction and is characterised by its low weight. This choice of material promotes smooth running within the approved temperature range of –30 to +120 degrees. Furthermore, the separable design facilitates assembly, as the inner and outer rings can be pressed onto the shaft and housing separately.
As an open roller bearing without integrated sealing washers, the component requires suitable lubrication via the surrounding structure. Ensure that you select a lubricant appropriate to the ambient conditions.
The dimensions are 25 mm bore diameter, 62 mm outside diameter and 17 mm overall width. These dimensions comply with the standardised metric series for single-row radial cylindrical roller bearings and allow for a precise fit in standardised bearing housings and on suitable shaft seats.
The designation ‘NU’ indicates a non-locating bearing in which the outer ring has two solid flanges, whilst the inner ring is flangeless. This allows the inner ring to be removed from either side. This design compensates for axial length changes in the shaft relative to the housing directly within the bearing, without any forced alignment.
The suffix TVP2 refers to a solid polyamide cage. This material reduces inertial forces and the friction of the rolling elements, contributing to smooth running. The cage is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees and is suitable for standard industrial applications.
As the bearing does not have any integrated seals, the lubricant is supplied via the machine’s housing system. Depending on the operating speed and ambient conditions, you can use greases or lubricating oils. An external housing seal is required to prevent the ingress of dirt and moisture, as well as the loss of lubricant.
The standard radial bearing clearance (CN) defines the internal operating clearance between the rollers and raceways when the bearing is unloaded. This standard value is tailored to typical fit conditions on the shaft and housing at normal operating temperatures, without the need for special measures to compensate for thermal clearance.
Manufactured in accordance with the standardised tolerance classes P0 and PN, the roller bearing complies with the ABEC 1 classification. This classification governs the dimensional, geometric and running accuracy of the rings for general mechanical engineering, thereby ensuring a defined fit within standardised tolerance ranges.
