The FAG NU2305 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, with a 25 mm bore and an outer diameter of 62 mm, serves as a separable idler bearing for high radial loads.
This single-row cylindrical roller bearing NU2305 -E-XL-TVP2 from FAG accommodates high radial forces and compensates for axial length changes directly within the bearing assembly. Designed as an open bearing, the construction requires an external lubricant supply as well as an effective housing seal. With main dimensions of 25 mm inside diameter, 62 mm outside diameter and 24 mm width, the roller bearing complies with tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1.
The NU2305 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is primarily used where bearings capable of withstanding purely radial loads are required. It is suitable for industrial applications involving high radial loads. As the rollers make line contact with the raceway, the component can withstand higher radial forces than point-contact ball bearings of comparable dimensions. However, due to its design, this non-locating bearing cannot accommodate axial forces.
The NU design is characterised by two fixed flanges on the outer ring, whilst the inner ring remains flangeless and can be removed from both sides. This feature facilitates assembly and disassembly, as the inner and outer rings can be mounted separately on the shaft and housing. The polyamide cage guides the rolling elements and covers a permissible temperature range of –30 to +120 degrees. This design features standard radial clearance for normal operating conditions.
The main dimensions are a bore diameter of 25 mm, an outside diameter of 62 mm and a width of 24 mm. This makes the bearing suitable for shafts with a diameter of 25 mm in corresponding housing bores. The component is designed as a single-row roller bearing without sealing washers.
In the NU design, the outer ring has two fixed guide flanges, whilst the inner ring has no flanges. This allows the inner ring to be moved axially in both directions and removed completely. The bearing acts purely as a non-locating bearing and compensates for axial changes in the length of the shaft.
The permissible temperature range is between -30 and +120 degrees Celsius. This operating range is limited primarily by the material of the polyamide cage. For operation within this range, a lubricant suited to the respective operating temperature is required.
The suffix TVP2 denotes a polyamide cage which guides the cylindrical rollers. This material is characterised by its low weight and elastic properties. It is suitable for use with predominantly radial loads within the permissible temperature range.
The bearing has standard radial clearance (standard clearance CN). This clearance class covers common industrial fit combinations. It ensures that, after the inner and outer rings have been pressed into place, sufficient operating clearance remains to prevent the rollers from seizing within the normal temperature range.
The NU2305 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is an open bearing without integrated seals. Furthermore, the outer ring has neither a lubrication groove nor a lubrication bore. Protection against dirt and moisture, as well as lubrication with grease or oil, must be provided by the surrounding housing structure.
