The FAG NUP310 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row fixed bearing with a 50 mm bore designed to accommodate high radial loads.
The NUP310 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing from FAG Rolling Bearings is a single-row roller bearing designed for demanding industrial applications. Thanks to the line contact between the rollers and raceways, this bearing can accommodate high radial loads. With key dimensions of a 50 mm bore, 110 mm outer diameter and 27 mm width, this design fits into standardised housing bores. Designed as an open bearing, the component can be flexibly integrated into existing lubrication systems and ensures low-friction operation in demanding shaft mountings.
This design is primarily used where, in addition to heavy radial loads, axial forces act on both sides. Typical applications include industrial bearing arrangements subject to combined loads. Thanks to its fixed-end function, the bearing locks the shaft axially relative to the housing. As it is an open bearing without an integrated seal, it is suitable for installation spaces with external housing seals and a targeted lubricant supply.
The NUP design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring, as well as one fixed flange and one loose flange disc on the inner ring. This enables the bearing to accommodate axial forces in both directions. The suffix TVP2 denotes a polyamide cage, which contributes to low weight and smooth running. The permissible temperature range is from -30 to +120 degrees. Furthermore, the component complies with tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1) and has standard radial clearance.
The bearing has an inside diameter of 50 mm, an outside diameter of 110 mm and a width across flats of 27 mm. These dimensions correspond to the standardised main dimensions for single-row cylindrical roller bearings in this series. When designing the assembly, ensure that the bearing seat on the shaft and housing is suitable.
The designation NUP refers to a fixed bearing with two fixed flanges on the outer ring. The inner ring has a fixed flange and a loose flange disc. This design enables the bearing to lock the shaft in both axial directions whilst simultaneously accommodating high radial loads via the cylindrical rollers.
The TVP2 cage is made of polyamide and guides the rollers with low friction. The material is characterised by its elastic properties and low weight, which helps to reduce noise during operation. The permissible operating temperature range for this version is between -30 and +120 degrees.
This roller bearing has standard radial clearance. The manufacturing accuracy complies with tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. This standard tolerance is suitable for standard industrial applications without any specific requirements regarding adjusted operating clearance.
As this design is an open bearing without integrated sealing washers, it requires lubrication via the surrounding unit, for example through oil circuits or targeted lubrication. To protect the rollers from ingress of particles and moisture, a suitable seal must be fitted in the housing cover or on the shaft.
In the fixed-bearing configuration, the NUP design accommodates axial loads from both directions. The force is transmitted via the end faces of the cylindrical rollers to the fixed flanges and the flange disc. However, the main load remains radial, as cylindrical rollers are primarily designed to withstand high transverse forces.
