The FAG NUP2311 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, with dimensions of 55 × 120 × 43 mm, provides a stable, fixed mounting for high radial loads.
The NUP2311 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row rolling bearing with a 55 mm bore, an outer diameter of 120 mm and a width of 43 mm. In this version from FAG, the design combines high radial load-carrying capacity with the ability to accommodate axial forces in both directions when used as a fixed bearing. The open bearing features an outer ring without a lubrication bore and is suitable for industrial drive trains with guided shaft mounting.
As a fixed bearing, this cylindrical roller bearing is used for the axial fixation of shafts whilst simultaneously withstanding high radial loads. Typical applications are found in general mechanical engineering in guided shaft bearings. Thanks to the cylindrical rollers, the component transfers the forces acting upon it directly to the surrounding structure.
Due to its open design without an integrated seal, the bearing is suitable for oil- or grease-lubricated housing systems in which external seals provide protection against particles.
The integrated polyamide cage (TVP2) guides the cylindrical rollers evenly and, compared to metal versions, reduces both the weight and noise levels during operation. The design is rated for a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. When selecting the bearing, take into account the standard radial clearance and the tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1) to ensure a precise fit on the 55 mm shaft.
This bearing has an inside diameter of 55 mm, an outside diameter of 120 mm and a width across flats of 43 mm. The dimensional and running tolerances comply with tolerance class P0/PN and ABEC 1 respectively. With these standardised dimensions, the roller bearing fits precisely into corresponding housing bores and onto standard shafts.
The designation ‘NUP’ indicates that the model is a fixed bearing. The design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring, as well as one fixed flange and one loose flange disc on the inner ring. This enables the unit to support radial loads whilst simultaneously securing the shaft in both axial directions.
The suffix TVP2 indicates a polyamide cage. This material reduces the weight of the rotating components and helps the rolling bearing to run quietly. The cage maintains a defined spacing between the rollers and is suitable for a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
The component is manufactured with standard radial bearing clearance. This specification is suitable for conventional fit designs and normal operating temperatures. The radial clearance between the rollers and raceways is dimensioned such that, once the bearing rings have been pressed into place, free rolling movement is maintained.
As an open bearing, this design is intended for installation in spaces where the lubricant is supplied via the housing, for example in an oil bath. The absence of sealing washers allows oil or grease to be changed without hindrance. Protection against dirt is provided by the system’s housing seal.
An outer ring without a circumferential groove or lubrication bore provides an uninterrupted cylindrical surface for the housing seat. In this design, the lubricant is supplied from the end face of the bearing. This design prevents fit problems and does not require angular alignment with the housing lubrication bores.
