The FAG NUP2213 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is an open, single-row fixed bearing with a 65 mm bore, designed for high radial loads.
As a radial rolling bearing, the NUP2213 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing withstands high radial forces. Thanks to the line contact between the cylindrical rollers and the raceways, this design offers high rigidity during operation. The NUP design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring, as well as one fixed flange and one loose flange disc on the inner ring. Consequently, this design guides the shaft in both axial directions and acts as a fixed bearing within the bearing housing.
This bearing design is used when, in addition to high radial forces, axial guiding forces from varying directions must also be accommodated. Such requirements arise in shaft mountings that demand clear longitudinal guidance on both sides. Thanks to the integrated polyamide cage, the bearing operates quietly and is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from –30 to +120 degrees. The open design allows for direct lubrication via the on-site lubrication circuit.
The polyamide cage is characterised by its low weight and favourable sliding properties. The suffix TVP2 denotes this cage design, which guides the rollers and minimises inertial forces during acceleration. When designing the application, it should be noted that the bearing is manufactured to standard tolerance P0 and has standard radial clearance. As the outer ring has no lubrication groove, the lubricant is supplied from the side at the bearing location.
With an internal diameter of 65 mm, an external diameter of 120 mm and a width of 31 mm, the bearing complies with the standardised main dimensions of the metric series. These dimensions are decisive in the design of the connecting parts for determining the fits on the shaft and housing.
Two solid flanges on the outer ring, together with one solid flange and one loose flange disc on the inner ring, constitute the distinctive design feature of this version. It supports the shaft axially in both directions and enables it to be used as a fully-fledged fixed bearing for combined radial and axial loads.
Made from polyamide, the TVP2 version guides the cylindrical rollers quietly and with low friction. Compared with metal cages, the material has a lower mass, which has a positive effect on acceleration phases. The cage is suitable for a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
Standard radial bearing clearance refers to the factory-set radial clearance when the bearing is in its unmounted state and without preload. This range is suitable for standard installation scenarios with conventional fit allowances. Once pressed into place, sufficient movement is retained during operation to ensure even load distribution.
Without integrated sealing washers, the lubricant is supplied from the outside via the customer’s own oil or grease circuit. As the outer ring has neither lubrication holes nor a ring groove, the lubricant is fed to the rotating rolling elements from the side.
The permissible operating range for this cylindrical roller bearing is between –30 and +120 degrees Celsius. These temperature limits are determined by the thermal resistance of the components and the polyamide cage. Lubricants must be selected for the same temperature range.
