The FAG NUP210 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is designed as a fixed bearing for shafts measuring 50x90x20 mm and can accommodate high radial loads.
The NUP210 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing from FAG with a cylindrical bore. Thanks to the line contact between the rollers and raceways, the design can withstand high radial loads. With an inner diameter of 50 mm, an outer diameter of 90 mm and a width of 20 mm, this version complies with tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1. The open bearing has standard radial clearance and operates within a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
This cylindrical roller bearing is suitable for applications involving heavy radial loads where the shaft must be guided in both axial directions simultaneously. As a fixed bearing, the NUP design accommodates not only the main radial load but also smaller axial guiding forces in both directions.
Typical applications are found in machine designs with shaft fixation on both sides. As the outer ring has no lubrication groove, grease or lubricating oil is supplied directly via the housing design of the respective system.
The TVP2 polyamide cage guides the cylindrical rollers whilst being lightweight itself, and reduces friction and noise during operation. This cage material has a permissible temperature range of –30 to +120 degrees, which defines the thermal limits of the bearing location.
As this is an open bearing without integrated seals, installation requires a clean environment. An external housing seal protects the raceways from dirt and keeps the lubricant within the bearing chamber.
This version has a bore of 50 mm, an outside diameter of 90 mm and a width of 20 mm. These dimensions define the installation space required on the shaft and within the housing. The bearing is single-row and has no lubrication channel on the outer ring.
The designation NUP indicates that the bearing is a fixed bearing. The outer ring has two fixed flanges, whilst the inner ring has one fixed flange and one loose flange disc. This enables the bearing to absorb radial forces and guide a shaft axially on both sides within the housing.
The permissible operating temperature range is between -30 and +120 degrees. This range is limited by the integrated TVP2 polyamide cage. For operation, a lubricant must be selected which forms load-bearing lubricating films between the rollers and raceways within these limits.
The design is that of an open bearing without integrated sealing washers. Protection against dust and moisture therefore relies entirely on the sealing elements of the surrounding housing structure. This design also allows for flexible relubrication with oil or grease via the unit.
The cylindrical roller bearing has standard radial clearance. This design is suitable for standard operating conditions without significant temperature gradients between the shaft and the housing. The existing radial clearance compensates for minor thermal expansion of the components without subjecting the raceways to impermissible stress during operation.
The bearing complies with the ‘Normal’ tolerance class according to ISO, designated as P0 or PN, which corresponds to the US standard ABEC 1. This manufacturing standard defines the permissible dimensional and running tolerances for the relevant shaft bearing arrangement.
