The FAG NJ312 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing accommodates high radial loads and supports shafts axially in one direction with a bore diameter of 60 mm.
The FAG NJ312 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing designed for demanding industrial applications. With a bore of 60 mm, an outer diameter of 130 mm and a width of 31 mm, this design offers a high radial load capacity. The open design allows for use in oil- or grease-lubricated systems. Thanks to its standard radial clearance and manufacture to tolerance class P0 (ABEC 1), the bearing is suitable for standardised fits in machine and gearbox construction.
As a support bearing, this design accommodates not only high radial loads but also one-way axial forces. Typical applications include shaft mountings subject to high radial loads and one-way axial guidance. The inner ring, which can be removed from one side, allows the shaft to be fixed axially in one direction, whilst the opposite side compensates for thermal length changes without constraint. Designers make specific use of this property in fixed-floating bearing arrangements where defined axial shaft guidance is required.
The designation TVP2 indicates a polyamide cage that reduces the weight of the rolling element set. Compared with metal cages, polyamide effectively dampens running noise and shock loads. When planning, please note the permissible operating temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, the outer ring has neither a ring groove nor a lubrication bore. Lubricant must therefore be supplied via the surrounding housing structure to lubricate the raceways of the open bearing.
The NJ design has two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This allows the bearing to function as a support bearing: it transmits high radial forces and absorbs axial forces from one direction. The inner ring can be removed from one side, which facilitates the separate assembly of the inner and outer rings.
This cylindrical roller bearing has an inner diameter of 60 mm, an outer diameter of 130 mm and a width of 31 mm. These standardised dimensions enable it to be fitted precisely into existing bearing housings designed for this size.
The standard radial bearing clearance refers to the standard radial clearance of the rolling elements between the raceways when the bearing is in its unassembled state. It is suitable for conventional operating conditions and standard fits on the shaft and housing, where there are no extreme temperature differences between the inner and outer rings.
The bearing is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees Celsius. This operating range is largely determined by the material properties of the polyamide cage. When designing the bearing arrangement, care should be taken to ensure that the selected lubricant also retains its lubricating properties within this temperature range.
As this is an open bearing with no integrated sealing washers and no lubrication holes in the outer ring, lubrication is provided via the housing design. Depending on the speed and operating conditions, you can use greases or oils. Regular relubrication and external sealing of the housing environment protect the bearing from contamination.
The P0 tolerance class corresponds to the international ABEC 1 classification. It defines the permissible dimensional and runout tolerances for standard industrial manufacturing. Components in this precision class are designed to ensure consistent runout in general mechanical engineering.
