The SKF NJ312 ECP cylindrical roller bearing combines dimensions of 60x130x31 mm with a high radial load capacity and single-sided axial guidance of the shaft.
The NJ312 ECP cylindrical roller bearing is an open, single-row radial roller bearing in the SKF Explorer design with an optimised internal structure. This design is intended for applications where high radial forces act on the bearing location. Thanks to two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring, this design functions as a classic support bearing. It accommodates predominant radial loads as well as axial forces from one direction, whilst the inner ring remains removable from one side for quick installation.
This support bearing is used where precise radial guidance is required and unilateral axial forces need to be supported. The axial displacement allows thermal length changes in the shaft to be compensated for. As the component is of open design and the outer ring is manufactured without a groove or lubrication bore, the lubricant is supplied via the housing system. The running accuracy to P6 ensures low-vibration concentricity on rotating shafts.
The suffix ECP denotes the combination of an optimised internal design and a polyamide cage that guides the cylindrical rollers. This cage material reduces the weight of the rolling element guide and is designed for a temperature range of –30 to +120 degrees Celsius. The bearing is manufactured with standard radial clearance. Whilst the dimensional accuracy corresponds to tolerance class Normal (P0), the tighter running accuracy P6 ensures reduced runout deviations during operation.
The NJ design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This enables the bearing to act as a thrust bearing, which locks shafts in an axial direction. Furthermore, the inner ring can be removed from one side to allow the bearing rings to be fitted separately, which facilitates installation in housings and on shafts.
This single-row roller bearing has an inner diameter of 60 mm, an outer diameter of 130 mm and a width across flats of 31 mm. These standardised dimensions allow for direct replacement in existing bearing housings. Before fitting, the mating surfaces of the shaft and the housing bore must be checked.
The suffix ECP indicates an optimised internal design combined with a polyamide cage. The cage guides the cylindrical rollers and is characterised by good damping properties. It is designed for operating temperatures between -30 and +120 degrees Celsius.
The bearing is manufactured with a standard radial clearance, which is designed for standard temperature and fit conditions. In terms of dimensional accuracy, it complies with tolerance class P0 (normal tolerance). The running accuracy meets the tighter tolerance class P6, which ensures high concentricity on the shaft.
The component is not fitted with any integrated sealing washers or a lubricant reservoir as standard. It is supplied with oil or roller bearing grease via the surrounding machine structure. External seals must be incorporated into the housing design to protect against dirt and moisture.
