The FAG NJ306 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 30 × 72 × 19 mm, acts as a support bearing and accommodates high radial forces as well as unilateral axial loads.
The FAG NJ306 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row rolling bearing with the main dimensions of 30 mm bore, 72 mm outer diameter and 19 mm width. Designed as a support bearing, this version accommodates high radial loads as well as axial guidance forces from one direction. The outer ring has two fixed flanges, whilst the inner ring is designed to be removable from one side. This makes the bearing suitable for shaft arrangements where defined axial guidance is required whilst allowing the inner and outer rings to be fitted and removed separately.
The design is intended for bearing arrangements where high radial forces act and shafts must be fixed in an axial direction. The line contact between the rollers and raceways enables the bearing to withstand high radial forces during operation. Axial displacement of the shaft relative to the housing is possible in the opposite direction within specified limits. The integrated polyamide cage guides the rolling elements with low vibration within the permissible temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees.
The designation TVP2 refers to a solid polyamide cage, which is notable for its low weight. This reduces inertial forces during speed changes and promotes smooth running of the rolling elements. As this is an open bearing without sealing washers, operation requires an external lubricant supply as well as a seal fitted to the housing. The bearings are manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1) with standard radial clearance.
An NJ-type cylindrical roller bearing has two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This enables it to act as a support bearing that guides shafts in an axial direction whilst simultaneously allowing axial displacement in the opposite direction. Furthermore, the inner ring can be withdrawn from one side for installation purposes.
The bearing has an inside diameter of 30 mm, an outside diameter of 72 mm and a width across flats of 19 mm. It is a single-row cylindrical roller bearing without a groove or lubrication hole in the outer ring, manufactured to the specifications of tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1.
At FAG, the suffix TVP2 denotes a solid polyamide cage that is guided on the rolling elements. Polyamide cages are characterised by their low weight and elastic properties, which contribute to good damping performance. They are designed for operation in a temperature range between -30 and +120 degrees.
As an open cylindrical roller bearing, this design is intended for mounting spaces fitted with an external sealing system. This allows it to be used in oil-lubricated assemblies, as the lubricant can flow freely through the rolling bearing. The surrounding housing structure protects the bearing from contamination and moisture.
This model has standard radial bearing clearance. Bearing clearance refers to the radial play between the rollers and the raceways when the bearing is unmounted. The standard version is suitable for standard fits on shafts and housings, as well as for applications where there are no unusual temperature differences between the inner and outer rings.
Thanks to their separable design, the inner and outer rings can be fitted separately onto the shaft and housing. The inner ring can be removed from one side, which simplifies the assembly of multi-piece bearing arrangements. During installation, care must be taken to ensure that the flange on the inner ring is correctly aligned so that axial support is provided in the desired direction.
