The FAG NJ222 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, measuring 110 × 200 × 38 mm, serves as a single-row support bearing for high radial loads.
The NJ222 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing from FAG Rolling Bearings, as a single-row roller bearing, can withstand very high radial forces. With a bore of 110 mm, an outer diameter of 200 mm and a width of 38 mm, this roller bearing is suitable for highly loaded shaft mountings. The NJ design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. As a result, the bearing supports the shaft in the axial direction and allows for axial length compensation in the opposite direction.
In shaft mountings subject to predominantly radial forces, the bearing acts as a support bearing thanks to its design. It guides the shaft in the axial direction and absorbs the guiding forces occurring there. At the same time, the internal axial displacement compensates for operational thermal length changes in the shaft. The inner ring can be removed from one side, which facilitates the separate mounting of the inner and outer rings onto the shaft and housing.
The suffix TVP2 denotes a polyamide window cage, which guides the rollers with low mass and low noise. The permissible temperature range is from –30 to +120 degrees. As an open bearing, this model has no integrated seals, meaning that lubricating oil or grease is applied directly to the rolling elements. Manufactured with standard radial bearing clearance and tolerance class P0 (ABEC 1), the design is suitable for standardised mounting conditions.
With an internal diameter of 110 mm, an external diameter of 200 mm and a width of 38 mm, the bearing defines the installation space on the shaft and within the housing. It is manufactured to the standard tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1 for standardised fits.
In this design, the bearing features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This enables the bearing to transmit radial forces and also to support axial forces from one direction. In the opposite direction, the design allows for axial displacement to compensate for operational thermal expansion of the shaft.
Made from polyamide, the TVP2 version features cylindrical rollers with a low mass. The material reduces running noise and elastically dampens vibrations. The permissible temperature range for this cage is between -30 and +120 degrees, covering a wide range of industrial operating conditions.
As the bearing is manufactured as an open design without integrated seals, sealing is provided by the surrounding housing structure. Grease or lubricating oil is supplied via the housing. As the outer ring has no groove or lubrication bore, the lubricant is fed in from the side to the raceways.
Manufactured with standard radial bearing clearance, the bearing is suitable for typical fit conditions in mechanical engineering. This defined bearing clearance describes the radial clearance of the rollers between the raceways when the bearing is unloaded. It helps to ensure that the bearing rolls smoothly onto the shaft after being pressed on, without any undesirable binding.
By removing the inner ring from one side, the inner and outer rings, together with the roller set, can be fitted separately onto the shaft and housing. This makes installation easier in confined spaces and where tight fits are required. During final assembly, the assemblies are slid axially into one another.
