The FAG NJ2205 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing offers high radial load-carrying capacity with compact dimensions of 25 × 52 × 18 mm and single-sided axial guidance.
The FAG NJ2205 -E-M1 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row radial roller bearing designed for demanding industrial applications. With a bore of 25 mm, an outside diameter of 52 mm and a width of 18 mm, this design can accommodate high radial loads. Designed as an open bearing, it can be flexibly integrated into existing lubrication systems. It is manufactured to tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1) with standard radial clearance.
This rolling bearing is primarily used as a machine component where high radial loads occur and shafts need to be guided axially in one direction. Typical applications include shaft mountings with combined load requirements. Thanks to the NJ design, the bearing functions as a support bearing. In addition to the primary radial forces, it also absorbs axial guidance forces from one direction, whilst compensating for thermal length changes of the shaft in the opposite direction.
The solid brass cage guides the cylindrical rollers and is characterised by high stability under severe vibrations. The NJ design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This allows the inner ring to be removed from one side, which facilitates assembly and disassembly. The permissible temperature range extends from –30 to +150 degrees Celsius, meaning the component is designed for thermally demanding environments.
The FAG model is characterised by its main dimensions of 25 × 52 × 18 mm and its combination of a single-row design and a brass cage. Operating as a support bearing with standard radial clearance, it functions within a temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees Celsius and accommodates radial loads as well as axial forces from one direction.
The NJ design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. As a result, the bearing acts as a thrust bearing, fixing the shaft in the axial direction. In the opposite direction, this design allows the shaft to move axially relative to the housing without restriction.
A brass cage is characterised by high mechanical strength and heat resistance. It guides the cylindrical rollers with precision and is well suited to applications involving vibrations, fluctuating loads or higher operating temperatures of up to +150 degrees Celsius.
Open cylindrical roller bearings do not have integrated sealing washers. This design allows for targeted lubricant supply via an external oil or grease system. Furthermore, the inner ring can be easily removed to allow separate assembly of the shaft and housing.
The bearing complies with tolerance class P0 or PN, which corresponds to the international ABEC 1 classification. This standard tolerance fully meets the requirements of most standard industrial applications in terms of dimensional and concentricity accuracy.
The standard radial bearing clearance is designed for typical operating temperatures and the recommended shaft and housing fits. It helps to ensure that the correct operating clearance is maintained during operation.
