The FAG NJ207 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing, with a 35 mm bore and a polyamide cage, offers high radial load-carrying capacity as a separable support bearing.
The FAG NJ207 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row rolling bearing designed for demanding industrial applications. With a bore of 35 mm, an outside diameter of 72 mm and a width of 17 mm, this radial roller bearing can withstand very high transverse forces. Designed as an open bearing, it can be specifically integrated into existing lubrication circuits. It is manufactured to the standard tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1), making it suitable for a wide range of machine designs in mechanical engineering and drive technology.
Designs subject to high radial forces benefit from the line contact provided by the cylindrical rollers. As the NJ design is a support bearing, the bearing arrangement absorbs not only the main radial load but also axial forces from one direction. The inner ring has a single-sided flange for this purpose and can be removed axially. Typical applications include bearing arrangements with single-sided guidance, where defined axial guidance requirements are placed on the shaft.
The designation TVP2 refers to the integrated polyamide cage. This cage material reduces the component weight compared to solid metal and operates quietly. The component covers an operating temperature range from –30 to +120 degrees. As the outer ring is manufactured without a groove or lubrication bore, lubricant is supplied via the housing environment. The inner ring, which can be removed from one side, also facilitates separate assembly onto the shaft and the housing bore.
With a bore of 35 mm, an outside diameter of 72 mm and a width of 17 mm, the bearing complies with standardised nominal dimensions. Before installation, the shaft seat and the housing bore should be checked to ensure they are dimensionally accurate.
The NJ design denotes a support bearing. The outer ring has two fixed flanges, whilst the inner ring has a single flange and is removable from one side. As a result, the bearing accommodates radial loads and axial forces in one direction, whilst allowing axial displacement in the opposite direction.
The polyamide cage (TVP2) guides the rollers and is characterised by its low weight. Compared with heavier metal cages, the plastic cage ensures low-vibration operation. The material is designed for the specified temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees and is suitable for standard industrial applications.
This cylindrical roller bearing is manufactured with standard radial bearing clearance. The bearing clearance refers to the radial play between the rollers and the raceways when the bearing is unmounted. The standard version is designed for typical operating temperatures and standard fit conditions on shafts and in housings.
As an open bearing, this component has no integrated sealing washers. This design allows for free flushing with external lubricating oil or grease from the machine housing. A suitable housing seal must be provided in the surrounding structure to protect against dirt and moisture.
The tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1 defines the standardised dimensional and running tolerances for outer and inner rings in standard industrial applications. This classification ensures that the rolling bearing is dimensionally compatible with standardised fits on the shaft and housing.
