The SKF NJ2211 ECP single-row cylindrical roller bearing (55x100x25 mm) serves as a support bearing with a polyamide cage for high radial loads.
The NJ2211 ECP cylindrical roller bearing combines a high radial load capacity with the ability to provide one-way axial guidance. Thanks to the optimised internal design of the Explorer series, the bearing reliably withstands high radial forces. The inner ring can be drawn off from one side, which simplifies installation in the housing or on the shaft. With a bore of 55 mm, an outer diameter of 100 mm and a width of 25 mm, this design is suitable for industrial drives subject to combined loads.
This design is primarily used in shaft mountings where, in addition to dominant radial forces, axial guidance forces from one direction are also present. Typical applications include bearing arrangements with single-sided axial fixation and high radial loads. As the inner ring is designed to be removable from one side, the bearing easily compensates for axial length changes in the shaft in the opposite direction. The open design requires lubrication via the surrounding housing space.
The polyamide cage guides the cylindrical rollers with low friction and ensures smooth running at normal operating temperatures ranging from –30 to +120 degrees. The Explorer version features precisely matched dimensional accuracy to Class P0/PN (ABEC 1) and increased running accuracy to P6 (ABEC 3). In conjunction with the standard radial bearing clearance, this design contributes to stable operation under standard fit conditions and moderate temperature rises.
The bearing has an internal diameter of 55 mm, an external diameter of 100 mm and a total width of 25 mm. These dimensions correspond to the standardised nominal dimensions for this series.
The NJ design has two solid flanges on the outer ring and one solid flange on the inner ring. This enables the bearing to act as a thrust bearing, capable of guiding the shaft in an axial direction.
The suffix ECP indicates an optimised internal design and a polyamide cage. This cage is characterised by its low weight, smooth running characteristics and low friction during roller guidance.
The open bearing is designed for continuous operation at temperatures between -30 and +120 degrees. This operating range is primarily determined by the polyamide cage material and the lubricant selected.
As an open-type bearing without integrated seals, the bearing requires lubrication with grease or oil. Before commissioning, the lubricant must be applied and the bearing housing must be protected from dirt using external seals.
This model features a standard radial bearing clearance. This design is suitable for standard mounting fits and normal operating temperatures without extreme thermal expansion between the shaft and the housing.
