The FAG NJ2310 -E-XL-TVP2 single-row cylindrical roller bearing, with dimensions of 50x110x40 mm, can withstand high radial loads as well as unilateral axial loads.
The FAG NJ2310 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is used in demanding industrial drives. Thanks to the line contact between the rollers and raceways, this design can handle high radial loads whilst maintaining good rigidity. The support bearing version features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This design accommodates axial displacement of the shaft in one direction. The inner ring can be removed from one side, allowing both bearing rings to be fitted separately.
This design is used in shaft support arrangements where, in addition to high radial forces, unidirectional guiding forces in the longitudinal direction are also present. The bearing acts as a support bearing and guides the shaft in one axial direction, whilst allowing axial displacement in the opposite direction. In combination with a suitable mating bearing, this creates a bearing arrangement that mechanically compensates for axial length changes. As the outer ring has no lubrication bore, the lubricant is supplied via the surrounding housing structure.
The designation TVP2 indicates a solid polyamide cage that guides the rollers. This cage is characterised by its low weight and dampens vibrations during changes in rotational speed. The open bearing allows for an operating temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees Celsius. The version with standard radial bearing clearance and tolerance class P0 (ABEC 1) is suitable for standard fits in mechanical engineering. A suitable external housing seal and lubrication with oil or grease must be provided for operation.
The bearing has an inner diameter of 50 mm, an outer diameter of 110 mm and a width of 40 mm. These dimensions correspond to the standardised main dimensions for cylindrical roller bearings of this size and allow for installation in suitable housing bores.
The NJ design features two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This enables the component to act as a support bearing. In addition to radial forces, it also absorbs axial guidance forces from one direction, whilst the inner ring remains axially movable in the opposite direction.
The suffix TVP2 denotes a solid polyamide cage. The material reduces the weight of the rotating cage assembly, offers good run-on properties and contributes to smooth running. It is designed for operating temperatures of up to 120 degrees Celsius.
This rolling bearing is manufactured with a standard radial clearance. This standard clearance class is suitable for common shaft and housing fit combinations, as well as for applications where there are no extreme temperature differences between the inner and outer rings.
As the bearing is designed without integrated sealing washers, sealing is provided by the surrounding housing structure. Shaft seals, labyrinth seals or housing covers protect the interior of the bearing from ingress of particles and moisture and keep the lubricant within the system.
Yes, the inner ring can be removed from one side. This ability to dismantle the unit facilitates both installation and subsequent maintenance, as the inner and outer rings, together with the set of rollers, can be fitted to the shaft and housing independently of one another.
