The FAG NJ2315 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing (75 x 160 x 55 mm) acts as a support bearing and accommodates high radial loads as well as unilateral axial loads.
The FAG NJ2315 -E-XL-TVP2 cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row roller bearing with a 75 mm bore, an outer diameter of 160 mm and a width of 55 mm. Due to the line contact between the rollers and raceways, this design can withstand very high radial forces. In the NJ version, the bearing has two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. It therefore serves as a support bearing for single-sided axial guidance of shafts.
This support bearing is used where high radial load capacity needs to be combined with axial guidance in one direction. As the inner ring is removable on one side, the bearing can be displaced axially by a specific amount. This design therefore allows for the compensation of thermal length changes in the shaft in one direction, whilst the fixed inner ring flange absorbs axial forces in the opposite direction. Assembly is flexible due to the separate installation of the inner and outer rings.
The suffix TVP2 denotes a polyamide cage that guides the cylindrical rolling elements and keeps them at a distance from one another. Due to its low weight, the polyamide material reduces the inertial forces that occur during operation. The bearing is designed for a temperature range of -30 to +120 degrees. With standard radial clearance and tolerances to P0/PN or ABEC 1, the component is suitable for standardised installation conditions in industrial bearing arrangements.
With an internal diameter of 75 mm, an external diameter of 160 mm and a width of 55 mm, the bearing requires a precisely defined installation space. The single-row cylindrical rollers offer high radial load-carrying capacity in a compact design for the corresponding shaft and housing fits.
The NJ design denotes a support bearing configuration with two fixed flanges on the outer ring and one fixed flange on the inner ring. This allows the bearing to absorb axial forces in one direction, whilst retaining axial displacement in the opposite direction. The inner ring can also be removed from one side for installation.
The suffix TVP2 denotes a polyamide cage which precisely guides the cylindrical rollers and keeps them separated from one another. Compared with metal cages, polyamide has a lower density, which reduces the inertial forces during operation. The material promotes smooth and quiet running of the rolling element set.
The bearing is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +120 degrees. The thermal operating limit is largely determined by the polyamide cage fitted and the lubricant used in the system. To ensure trouble-free operation, it is essential that this specified temperature range is maintained within the housing.
As an open bearing, the design is fitted with neither sealing washers nor a factory-fitted grease fill. The bearing is supplied with oil or grease directly via an external lubricant supply. Protection against dirt and moisture is provided by separate housing seals specific to the respective machine design.
When fitted with the standard radial bearing clearance, the bearing complies with the standardised specifications for typical operating conditions. The dimensional and running tolerances conform to the standard tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1. This facilitates the design of suitable tolerance fields for mounting on the shaft and in the housing.
