The SKF NU2315 ECP cylindrical roller bearing is a single-row non-locating bearing with a 75 mm bore, a polyamide cage and a separable inner ring, designed for high radial loads.
As a single-row roller bearing, the NU2315 ECP withstands high radial loads and compensates for axial length changes in the shaft. In this Explorer version from SKF, the bearing features an optimised internal design. With key dimensions of a 75 mm bore, 160 mm outer diameter and 55 mm width, the design is engineered to handle demanding radial loads. The inner ring, which can be removed from both sides, facilitates installation and allows for separate fit selection for the shaft and housing.
This bearing is primarily used as a non-locating bearing when thermal length changes in the shaft need to be accommodated without constraint within the bearing housing. Typical applications include industrial bearing arrangements subject to high radial forces. As the outer ring has solid flanges and the inner ring is flangeless, the shaft moves axially relative to the housing without axial constraint.
The bearing’s polyamide cage is characterised by its low weight and elastic properties. This ensures that the rolling elements run with low vibration and quietly. The permissible temperature range is from –30 to +120 degrees Celsius. As this is an open bearing without an integrated seal, you should select the appropriate lubricant and ensure the housing is properly sealed to suit the specific operating environment.
In the NU design, the outer ring has two fixed guide flanges, whilst the inner ring is manufactured without flanges. As a result, the component acts as a non-locating bearing. It absorbs radial forces and allows the shaft to move axially within the housing in both directions.
The bearing has an inside diameter of 75 mm, an outside diameter of 160 mm and a width of 55 mm. With these key dimensions, this design fits into standardised housing bores and onto corresponding shaft seats. With these dimensions, the single-row design is primarily designed to withstand high radial forces.
This model features standard radial bearing clearance. This design is suitable for normal operating temperatures and standard fit selections. In standard applications, the standard bearing clearance helps to ensure that, once the bearing rings have been pressed into place, the necessary operating clearance for smooth running is maintained.
As an open roller bearing, this product does not have any factory-fitted sealing washers. You supply the bearing with grease or oil via the surrounding machine housing. An external housing seal protects the rollers and raceways from contamination and prevents the selected lubricant from leaking out.
The bearing combines dimensional accuracy to Class P0 or ABEC 1 with increased running accuracy to Class P6 or ABEC 3. The outer ring and mounting dimensions comply with standard specifications, whilst the rolling elements and raceways have tighter concentricity tolerances to ensure smooth running.
The permissible operating range is between -30 and +120 degrees Celsius. The upper limit is primarily determined by the polyamide cage used. Select a lubricant suitable for the operating temperatures within these limits.
