The 53202 axial deep-groove ball bearing from FAG Wälzlager (15x32x13.3 mm) accommodates axial loads on one side and, when fitted with a washer, allows for angular misalignment.
The 53202 axial deep-groove ball bearing is designed as a single-acting rolling bearing that guides and supports shafts axially in one direction. As it is manufactured from standard rolling bearing steel (100Cr6) and is available in standard tolerance (tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1), the component is suitable for standard mechanical engineering applications. The rolling elements are guided by a lightweight sheet steel cage, which ensures stable ball movement.
This bearing is specifically designed to absorb axial forces acting parallel to the axis. Typical applications include bearing arrangements in which a shaft needs to be secured against thrust on one side. Due to its design, this type of bearing must not absorb radial forces. If a radial force occurs in addition to the axial load, designers usually combine the component with a separate radial bearing on the same shaft.
The spherical housing washer of the 532 series is designed to compensate for misalignment. If the housing bore and the shaft are not exactly at right angles to one another, the bearing compensates for this misalignment in combination with a suitable spherical washer. Please note during the design phase that this washer is not included with this item and must be procured separately if angular adjustability is required for the design.
The bearing is designed to act in one direction only. It supports axial forces from exactly one direction and guides the shaft axially. This design is not intended to withstand radial loads, which is why additional radial guidance is always required.
The bore measures 15 mm, the outer diameter is 32 mm and the overall height is 13.3 mm. These dimensions determine the required installation space on the shaft and within the bearing housing.
The bearing has a spherical housing washer. In conjunction with a separately fitted spherical washer, this design compensates for static misalignment between the shaft and the housing contact surface.
The specified operating temperature range is from -30 to +150 degrees. When designing the system, users must also take into account the thermal limits of the lubricant used.
The scope of delivery comprises only the axial deep-groove ball bearing, without a washer. If the angular adjustment function is to be used, a suitable washer must also be provided.
The bearing washers and rolling elements are made of standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6). A sheet steel cage is used to guide the balls and ensure they are evenly spaced.
