The 53210 axial deep-groove ball bearing from FAG Wälzlager, with dimensions of 50 × 78 × 23.5 mm, accommodates single-sided axial forces in one direction.
The 53210 axial deep groove ball bearing is designed as a single-direction axial bearing to accommodate pure axial loads and provide axial support for shafts. Manufactured from standard rolling-bearing steel (100Cr6) and fitted with a sheet steel cage, the bearing guides the rolling elements in an orderly manner along their circular path. With a bore of 50 mm, an outside diameter of 78 mm and a height of 23.5 mm, this version is suitable for use in assemblies in mechanical engineering and fixture construction.
This rolling bearing is suitable for designs in which only axial forces act in a single direction. Typical applications include vertical shaft guides, spindle drives and gearbox designs in which radial forces are supported by separate rolling bearings. As axial deep-groove ball bearings, by their very design, do not accommodate radial loads, this model is intended purely for axial guidance. The operating temperature range of –30 to +150 degrees allows for operation under a variety of thermal conditions.
The 532 series features a spherical housing washer that can compensate for misalignment between the shaft and the mounting surface. This adjustment takes effect as soon as the bearing is fitted together with a suitable washer to compensate for misalignment. Please note when planning your work that this item comprises only the axial deep-groove ball bearing without a washer. Manufacture to tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1 ensures dimensional accuracy in accordance with the relevant standards within the installation space.
The dimensions are as follows: a bore diameter of 50 mm on the shaft flange, an outer diameter of 78 mm on the housing flange and a total height of 23.5 mm. These standardised dimensions allow for direct replacement in existing assemblies of the same size.
As a single-direction design, the bearing accommodates only axial forces acting on the shaft from one direction. This design cannot transmit radial forces. If combined loads occur in the structure, the radial forces must be supported by a separate radial bearing.
The spherical housing washer, when used in conjunction with a suitable, separately fitted shim, enables angular misalignments to be compensated for. This allows the bearing to compensate for misalignment between the housing surface and the shaft axis, thereby preventing undesirable edge stresses on the rolling elements.
The scope of supply includes the 53210 axial deep-groove ball bearing, comprising a shaft washer, a ball cage assembly and a spherical housing washer. Any shims required for angular compensation are expressly not included and must be ordered separately, if required, to suit the connecting structure.
The permissible operating range is from -30 to +150 degrees when using standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6 and a sheet steel cage. Within this temperature range, the components retain their dimensional stability. The lubricant used must also be suitable for the respective operating temperature.
Manufacturing is carried out to tolerance class P0 (standard class PN or ABEC 1). This specification meets the standard accuracy requirements of general mechanical engineering and ensures compliance with defined fit tolerances for the shaft and housing bore.
