The 52315 axial deep-groove ball bearing accommodates axial forces from both directions and provides precise shaft guidance with dimensions of 60 × 135 × 79 mm.
The FAG 52315 axial deep-groove ball bearing is designed to precisely accommodate axial loads from both directions in industrial assemblies. Manufactured from standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6), this component guides shafts in both axial directions. Due to its design, the bearing cannot accommodate purely radial forces. With an inside diameter of 60 mm, an outside diameter of 135 mm and a mounting width of 79 mm, the bearing meets standardised requirements in mechanical engineering.
This rolling bearing is suitable for designs in which axial loads change direction during operation or where shafts need to be axially fixed in both directions. As the component is not angle-adjustable, it requires precisely machined, perpendicular contact surfaces on the housing and shaft. Typical areas of application include industrial applications with varying axial forces. The sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements evenly under continuous load.
When fitting this item without separate washers, care must be taken to ensure the connecting parts are precisely aligned. Misalignment or skewing cannot be compensated for with this design. The component complies with standard tolerance class P0/PN (ABEC 1) and is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +150 degrees. For lubrication, select a lubricant whose thermal specification is suitable for this temperature range.
The bearing has an internal diameter of 60 mm, an external diameter of 135 mm and a mounting width of 79 mm. These standardised key dimensions enable precise integration onto shafts and within machine housings where axial forces need to be specifically supported.
A double-acting axial bearing absorbs axial forces from two directions and guides the shaft in both directions. It consists of two sets of rolling elements, two housing discs and a central shaft disc. The bearing must not be subjected to purely radial forces, as these would lead to increased wear.
The permissible temperature range for the component is from -30 to +150 degrees. Both the 100Cr6 roller bearing steel and the sheet steel cage retain their dimensional stability within this temperature range. Ensure that the lubricant used can withstand the same thermal requirements as the application.
Inside the bearing, a sheet steel cage guides the rolling elements evenly along their raceway. Sheet steel is characterised by high strength combined with low weight and withstands the mechanical loads within the specified temperature range. It is suitable for standard applications with grease or oil lubrication.
Classification under tolerance class P0 (also known as standard tolerance PN or ABEC 1) defines the standardised limit dimensions for dimensional and running accuracy in accordance with international standards. It fully meets the requirements of common industrial applications in general mechanical engineering, without the need for special fits for high-precision applications.
This version is not angle-adjustable and is supplied without spherical washers. The contact surfaces on the shaft and housing must be machined so that they are exactly at right angles to the axis of rotation. Misalignment or tilting will result in uneven load distribution across the raceways and shorten the service life of the components.
