Axial Deep Groove Ball B. SKF 52313

The SKF 52313 double-row axial deep-groove ball bearing accommodates pure axial loads from both directions (dimensions: 55x115x64 mm).

The 52313 axial deep-groove ball bearing is designed to accommodate high axial forces in both directions. With a bore of 55 mm, an outside diameter of 115 mm and a total width of 64 mm, this design supports shafts axially on both sides. Manufactured from standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6) with a robust sheet steel cage, the component is designed for operating temperatures ranging from -30 to +150 degrees. The bearing is manufactured to the standard tolerance class P0/PN or ABEC 1 for industrial applications.

When is the 52313 axial deep-groove ball bearing used?

This type of bearing is used to support rotating shafts when pure axial forces act in alternating or bidirectional directions. As the design cannot accommodate radial forces, the radial support of the shaft is always provided by separate radial bearings within the system. It is important to have a rigid, perpendicular surrounding structure, as the component is designed as a non-angle-adjustable version and misalignment must be avoided.

What should be borne in mind with the double-acting design?

The double-sided design consists of a shaft flange, two housing flanges and two ball rings with a sheet steel cage. The scope of supply includes the axial deep-groove ball bearing without shims. During design, flat contact surfaces must be provided to prevent uneven edge loads. As the bearing is of an open design, the environmental sealing and the type of lubricant selected determine its operation within the permissible temperature range up to +150 degrees.

What forces does the 52313 axial deep-groove ball bearing withstand?

This bearing accommodates axial loads only, but supports the shaft in both directions. Separate radial bearings must always be included in the system to accommodate transverse forces, as radial loads must be avoided in axial deep-groove ball bearings.

What are the dimensions of the component?

The main dimensions are 55 mm bore diameter, 115 mm outer diameter and 64 mm mounting width. These dimensions correspond to the standardised size series for double-acting axial bearings.

Can alignment errors be corrected?

No, this version is not angle-adjustable. The bearing is sensitive to misalignment between the shaft and the housing. The mounting surfaces must be at right angles to one another and flat in order to prevent uneven load distribution.

What material are the bearings and cage made of?

The bearing washers and rolling elements are made from standard roller bearing steel (100Cr6). A sheet steel cage is used to guide and separate the balls.

What is the permissible operating temperature range?

The component is designed for a temperature range of -30 to +150 degrees. When specifying the lubrication, care must be taken to ensure that the oil or grease used can withstand these temperatures.

Are washers included in the scope of delivery?

The scope of supply includes the double-sided bearing without washers. The bearing rests directly against the housing stop via its flat housing washers.
