The FAG 3215 -B-TVH angular contact ball bearing, with dimensions of 75 × 130 × 41.3 mm, provides a double-row bearing arrangement for high radial and axial loads on both sides.
The 3215 -B-TVH angular contact ball bearing is a double-row rolling bearing with a 75 mm bore, an outer diameter of 130 mm and a width of 41.3 mm. Manufactured from standard roller bearing steel 100Cr6, this bearing, thanks to its double-row design, accommodates both radial forces and axial forces from both directions. The manufacturer, FAG Wälzlager, equips this version with a lightweight polyamide cage and standard radial clearance. The open design, without a flange or groove on the outer ring, allows for direct lubrication during operation via the surrounding machine housing.
Designs subject to combined loads utilise this double-row bearing, as it provides axial guidance in both directions whilst maintaining a high radial load-carrying capacity. With its contact angle of 40 degrees, the bearing effectively supports axial loads. Typical applications include industrial drives and rotating shaft assemblies. The component is suitable for operating temperatures ranging from –20 to +120 degrees and can be used in oil- or grease-lubricated systems.
The polyamide cage, designated TVH, guides the rolling elements with low vibration and keeps inertial forces to a minimum. As an open component without integrated seals, an external housing seal protects the bearing housing from dirt and moisture. The bearing is manufactured to tolerance class P0 or ABEC 1. Key design parameters include a shaft diameter of 75 mm, a housing bore of 130 mm and a regular supply of lubricant.
The double-row angular contact ball bearing accommodates radial and axial forces acting in both directions with a contact angle of 40 degrees. Fitted with a polyamide cage and manufactured from 100Cr6 rolling-bearing steel, it is suitable for operating temperatures between -20 and +120 degrees.
With a bore of 75 mm, an outside diameter of 130 mm and a width of 41.3 mm, this roller bearing complies with standardised dimensions. The outer ring is cylindrical in design, without a groove or flange, which facilitates installation in standard cylindrical housing bores in mechanical engineering.
The contact angle determines the line of action of the force transmission between the inner ring, the balls and the outer ring. A 40-degree geometry facilitates the absorption of high axial forces. This ensures stable guidance of the mounted shaft when axial loads are applied from both sides.
The polyamide cage maintains an even spacing between the balls in the angular contact ball bearing. The low weight of the material reduces inertial forces during operation, which improves running characteristics. The material is designed for a temperature range of -20 to +120 degrees.
The open design, which does not use sealing washers, allows unimpeded lubricant flow in oil-lubricated systems and where external relubrication is required. To prevent the ingress of dirt particles, a suitable seal must be provided via the surrounding machine housing.
Tolerance class P0 or PN corresponds to the standard accuracy class and is comparable to ABEC 1. It defines the permissible dimensional and runout deviations of the bearing for standard use in mechanical and plant engineering.
